Weld-in insert for GM 1-ton rod ends in pitman arms

This insert is used to install a GM 1-ton high angle rod end into a pitman arm as part of our Y-Link steering setup. The taper measures approximately 0.77" at the large end, and the pitman arm hole must be drilled out to 1". It’s a tight fit by design and may require light grinding on the non-shouldered end to seat properly.

The insert must be welded in place for safe operation and long-term durability. TIG welding is recommended due to the small size and fitment tolerances, but MIG is acceptable if done properly. This part is not intended to be press-fit or bolted in and should only be used in custom steering applications.
